ABCO Construction Services

“ABCO”, formerly ABCO Engineering Corporation, is a Colorado-based company founded in 1989 by William R. Hyatt, P.E. At that time, ABCO’s primary focus was on Property Condition Assessments and Phase I Environmental Reports required for the transfer of ownership of commercial property. In 2006, the environmental engineering services were discontinued in order to increase focus on providing services to help our clients manage their construction risk and to focus our efforts on expanding our presence in markets outside of Colorado.

The company provides a comprehensive list of services developed to help clients manage specific risks that can arise out of the construction process. We are dedicated to providing clients with the programs necessary to ensure that every construction project is being built to a higher standard of care as well as providing a proactive approach against the potential risk of litigation. Today, our services have been provided to a broad range of clients at over 150 sites in Colorado as well as in many metropolitan areas throughout Texas, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona and Virginia. ABCO is now recognized by many major insurance carriers as an approved vendor for providing a qualified Third Party Quality Assurance program.

ABCO, through its people, has a wide range of expertise with a multitude of different types of projects. The company can service not only smaller light framed wood construction but also more sophisticated commercial and industrial construction projects. Many of ABCO’s current projects consist of high rise steel and concrete construction projects being built by some of the largest national contractors. ABCO’s staff has a depth of knowledge that enables us to provide our services on any type of project that a client may construct and/or develop. ABCO has the resources and expertise to provide services on the following types of projects:

·         Commercial wood framed construction

·         Multi-family, multi-level wood framed construction

·         Mid and high-rise steel and/or concrete construction for residential, commercial, retail or mixed use occupancies

·         Institutional construction including schools and hospitals

·         Industrial construction which includes power plants and natural gas processing plants

·         Heavy infrastructure construction such as roads, bridges and utilities
